A pool table isn't furniture that happens to be heavy, it's a precision surface sitting on top of a genuinely difficult moving job. The slate underneath the felt is what actually needs the care, crack it and the table's finished, no amount of careful carrying afterwards fixes that. Our pool table movers are built around getting that part right.

Why This Isn't a Two-Person Job

Most of our services run on a standard two-mover crew. Pool tables don't, a full-size table typically needs at least four people once you factor in the slate, and trying to move one assembled with a couple of mates is how frames snap and slate cracks. We size the crew to the table, not the other way around.

How We Disassemble Your Table

Every removable piece gets labelled before it comes off, screws, bolts and small parts go into sealed, marked bags so reassembly doesn't turn into guesswork later. The pockets come off first, then the rails, then the felt is carefully lifted rather than torn free (glued felt gets worked loose gradually, not ripped), and finally the slate, the heaviest and most fragile part, gets removed and wrapped as its own dedicated step. Nothing about this is rushed, because rushing is exactly where damage happens.

Getting It Back Together, Level and Ready to Play

Reassembly isn't just bolting the pieces back on. The slate has to sit flat, the rails need to be properly aligned, and the table needs to be levelled once it's back together, an unlevel pool table plays badly no matter how well everything else was handled. That's the actual test of a proper reassembly, not just that all the pieces are back on, but that the table plays the way it did before it moved.
