Removalists Brookvale

Brookvale Removalists for Units, Homes and Businesses

Expert Movers has been moving households and businesses for more than 10 years. We’ve completed over 5,000 moves across Australia and hold a 4.9-star average rating. Our trucks are our own, and so are our trained movers, so there are no subcontractors and no call centre. The person who quotes your move is the person who turns up.

Brookvale is different from the quieter beach suburbs around it. It’s a working suburb, with units, family homes, a big shopping centre and streets full of workshops, breweries and showrooms. As Brookvale removalists, we move people out of one-bedroom units on a Saturday and help businesses relocate after hours during the week.

About Brookvale, NSW 2100

Brookvale is on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, about 16 km north-east of the Sydney CBD, postcode 2100, in the Northern Beaches Council area. It’s surrounded by Dee Why, Beacon Hill, Narraweena, North Manly, Curl Curl and North Curl Curl, with Manly Dam nearby.

The area started as farmland in the 1830s. After World War II, many Italian families bought land here, and some still own large parts of the suburb. In the 1960s, the old Brookvale House estate became the site of Westfield Warringah Mall, now one of the biggest shopping centres in the region.

Brookvale is also home to Brookvale Oval, the home ground of the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles, and a large light industrial area full of car dealers, printers, craft breweries and small businesses. Pittwater Road carries buses, trucks and shoppers through the heart of the suburb.

Here’s what the 2021 census tells you about moving here:

• Mostly small homes. About 74% of homes have one or two bedrooms.
• Lots of townhouses and units. Nearly half of the dwellings are semi-detached or in multi-level blocks.
• Small households. The average home has 2.2 people, and about a third have just one person.

Moving Into or Out of a Brookvale Unit

Most Brookvale moves involve units, and units come with their own challenges.

Stairs and lifts. Many older blocks have stairs only, while newer ones have lifts that may need booking. Tell us which floor you’re on and what access there is.

Parking out the front. Streets near the mall and Pittwater Road get busy. If your block has a driveway or visitor spot, let us know so we can use it.

Furniture that fits. A couch from a three-bedroom house may not fit through a unit door or around a stairwell. Measure first, and we’ll take apart what we can.

Match Days and Busy Times

Brookvale Oval holds around 23,000 people, and Sea Eagles home games bring big crowds. Streets near the ground can fill up with cars, and traffic around the mall is heavy on weekends and during sales.

If you can, avoid booking your move on a home game day if you live near the oval. A weekday or an early weekend start usually means easier parking and a quicker move.

Common Problems We See During Brookvale Moves

These are the issues that come up most on moves in Brookvale.

Stairs with no lift. Many older unit blocks have stairs only. Tell us which floor you’re on, so we bring enough movers.

No parking near the door. Streets near Warringah Mall and Pittwater Road fill up fast. Let us know about driveways or visitor spaces we can use.

Moving on a match day. Home games at Brookvale Oval bring heavy traffic and full streets. Pick a different day if you live nearby.

Furniture too big for a unit. Big couches and bed bases may not fit through unit doors. Measure before moving day.

Business moves during trading hours. Moving a showroom or workshop while customers are around slows everything down. Book an after-hours or weekend move.
