Removalists Allambee

Moving in Allambee: What Makes It Different

Expert Movers is a removalist team with 10+ years in the industry, more than 5,000 completed moves and a 4.9★ average rating from 200+ customer reviews. When people look for a local moving company Allambee can rely on, they want two things: a clear price and a crew that understands rural property. Here's how we handle both.

Three places called Allambee

Allambee, Allambee South and Allambee Reserve are three separate localities, and they're easy to mix up. Allambee had 24 people at the 2021 census, Allambee South had 61 and Allambee Reserve had 96. Allambee South and Allambee Reserve share postcode 3871.

That matters for your booking. A wrong locality on a quote can mean the wrong route and a late arrival. When you contact us, give us the road name, the number, the nearest town and a map pin, as well as the locality name. We'll confirm the right Allambee before we quote.

Strzelecki hill country and dairy farms

The Allambees sit in green, hilly dairy country, in the foothills of the Strzelecki Ranges. Allambee South is described as being near Mirboo North, and Allambee Reserve is home to Allambee Camp, a school and outdoor adventure camp. Mirboo-Yarragon Road runs through Allambee Reserve.

For a move, the hills and the farms shape the day. Properties often have long driveways, farm gates and sloping tracks. If you have a working farm, tell us which gates must stay closed and where we can park, so we don't interfere with stock. We'll also ask about the surface and the slope, and choose a truck that suits the road.

Where the shops and services are

Allambee has no shopping strip of its own. The nearest towns for supplies and services are Yarragon, which is on the Princes Highway about halfway between Warragul and Moe, and Mirboo North, with Leongatha further out. Darnum and Warragul are also close.

Because of that, it helps to have everything ready before the crew arrives. We supply packing materials and can pack and unpack for you, and we offer storage if your next place isn't ready.

A move in a small community

With so few residents, people tend to know each other, and word travels. That's why we put the full price in writing and show the call-out charge before you book. You can also read our 4.9★ rating across 200+ reviews. If you're comparing options, compare removalist quotes Allambee companies send you line by line, and see which one tells you the final price first.

Common Problems We See During Allambee Moves

These are the issues that most often slow down a hill-country farm move. Most can be solved with a short message before the day.

The wrong Allambee on the booking. Three similar localities and two postcodes lead to mix-ups. Give us the road, the number, the nearest town and a map pin.

A truck that doesn't suit the property road. A narrow gate, a sloping track or a soft driveway can stop a long truck. Send photos before we quote, and we'll pick one that fits.

Gates and stock. On a working farm, gates need to stay closed at the right times. Tell us the rules when you book, so the crew doesn't have to guess.

Sheds and outbuildings left off the list. On rural properties, they can hold a large part of the load. List everything, so the truck and the hours match the job.

Last-minute plans on a rural property. Short-notice jobs depend on crew availability, and rural jobs need more time at each end. Call us early and we'll tell you straight what's possible.

Send us your list and a few photos, and we'll turn them into a written quote.

Removalist Prices in Allambee: How to Read Your Quote

We charge by the hour for the truck and two movers: $130 an hour for a 3 tonne truck, $140 for a 4.5 tonne, $180 for an 8 tonne and $200 for a 10 tonne. Those are our removalist rates Allambee customers are quoted, and they're the same whichever day you choose.

For a rural job like Allambee, a call-out charge applies as well. It varies by suburb, and we include it in your fixed written quote, so the number you see is the final number. There are no hidden fees and no extra charges.

If you ask for a moving price estimate Allambee companies give you, check these things on every quote:

• Which truck, and how many movers? You should know what each hour buys.
• Is the call-out charge included? It should be in the total.
• Is there a minimum number of hours? If so, ask for it in writing.
• Are packing or storage included? They should be listed separately if you've asked for them.
• Is it fixed? The final quote should be fixed before you commit.

If you're looking for low cost movers Allambee has to offer, the best check is the final total. A low hourly rate can end up costing more once extras are added. Insurance is optional, and we explain your choices at quote time so you can decide.
